KRISTY WALLACE
"The Mastermind has helped me figure out that I have a path and I have a message. It was super helpful in getting clarity and direction. I have figured out a direction for my words and where I think they're going.
Get ready, because it is an adventure! There are ups and downs, and there are days you're going to want to throw it all to the wind and be like, what am I doing? Just stay the course because it's worth it."
We know it's a big decision to finally commit to your goals, and to trust a small group of others to commit to you. But we've seen firsthand the powerful transformation that happens when a small group of leaders gathers together to support each other. If not now, then when?
IT'S DECISION TIME
FROM HERE YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
1. Keep living the way you always have — on your own, unsure of your path, and uncertain of your next step.
2. Make the investment into your most important goals — get the training and encouragement you need, a simple path for your calling, and a community who'll be there for you the whole way.
No matter where you're starting from, we are here to support you in each stage of your journey.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many people will be in the mastermind?
The mastermind will be a small group, usually 8-12 people.
If I apply, am I automatically in?
Filing out the application and submitting your application fee is an important first step, but it does not guarantee your spot. Because this is a small group who will work closely together throughout the year, we reserve the right to curate this group so that all members will be supported in their particular writing goals.
Is this only for people who want to write a book?
Nope! You only have to be serious about making progress in your goals as a working writer. Those goals could include (but are not limited to):
- Writing a book proposal.
- Preparing to find a literary agent.
- Expanding your writing portfolio (print and online journals and/or magazines).
- Learning social media as a writer.
- Starting your online business.
- Building a website with strong lead magnets and a growing email list.
- Finding your niche and target reader.
- Embracing marketing in a way that fits you.
- Refining your writing goals and method of progress.
What if I’m not sure exactly what progress I want to make? Will this help me find clarity?
Yes! But also know that clarity is something that sometimes takes time. This process of focused guidance and community will definitely condense the clarity-finding stage.
Will I be able to ask Brian my specific questions?
Yes! During small group times, Brian (and our other coaches) will be right there with you, listening and offering feedback along the way. You will also have plenty of opportunity to ask questions in our community as well as at our in-person Gatherings.
Do I have to go to the in-persons? Can I skip one or more if I have a conflict? Can they be recorded?
The Gatherings are a huge part of your experience and progress. There are no plans for recordings.
Can I quit and get a refund?
There are absolutely no refunds for any reason. No exceptions.
We understand the kinds of uncontrollable things that can come up and still, we will offer zero refunds. This is a firm line. We are not smart enough to be in the business of deciding and disagreeing over which reasons are refund-worthy and which are not. An important part of the hope*writers Mastermind experience is to help you develop your "no matter what" muscle. One reason people fail to make progress is they can always find a very good reasons why they have to stop.
This is for writers committed to committing. When people leave themselves an out they usually end up taking it. We're all in and we want you to be, too!
Do you offer scholarships?
We do not offer scholarships at this time, though we do have several payment options available.
What happens at the in-person gatherings?
Connection with your Cohort will be a vital part of your experience.
- Teaching, insight, and hard-won wisdom from Brian and a few special guests.
- Informal connections and side conversations with other members.
- Insights and renewed creativity that can only happen when you get out of your own zip code and into the presence of other people who get what you do.
- Actionable steps and kind, honest feedback about your work and your goals.
How can a mastermind benefit me?
We will help you clarify your goals, create a clear plan, and offer the accountability to help you make progress!
