What is hope*writers? We’re so glad you asked! If you’ve found yourself here, it’s probably because you’re a writer looking for help on the internet. Maybe frustration with your progress has led you on endless Google searches, or you’ve followed rabbit trails all over cyberspace and come up either overwhelmed or empty-handed.
We’re here to help.
We are a community of working writers dedicated to helping you make progress as you learn to balance the art of writing with the business of publishing. We help smart, creative writers do their work forever without losing their minds today.
Here’s what you need to know about hope*writers to decide if we’re a good fit for your writing life.
We take seriously the creative, social, and spiritual call to the deep work of sharing our stories and ideas with the people who need them the most. We help writers find and follow the path to sharing their words with a reader without feeling lost, discouraged, or overwhelmed.
You need a go-to place and a solid plan with people who are doing the work and can respond directly to your questions about writing, publishing, and launching your work without going crazy. Hope*writers is where thousands of writers have found their writing people.
Hope*writers is an online membership site filled with committed writers of all genres and stages who belong and contribute to our community. Because we are an online community, you can live anywhere in the world and still fully participate in the training we offer in our online library.
We offer members a six-stage hope*writers library filled with articles, teachings, and curated resources. We’ve also created a hope*writers member directory, where members can find one another and connect locally or online for support and collaboration, and where industry professionals can search for writers producing good work.
In addition to all of these resources, one of the most important ways we encourage member growth is through our weekly interviews with authors and industry experts. We call them Tuesday Teachings, and they’re hosted live and recorded every week so members can watch, ask questions, and take notes. These become part of our hope*writers library so that members can review and reference them again and again.
We’ve interviewed over one hundred writers, authors, literary agents, and publishing experts over the years, and we continue to add more weekly.
Member favorites include authors such as Beth Moore, Greg McKeown, Jo Saxton, Marion Roach Smith, and Carlos Whitaker.
These teachings are at the heart of our membership community and remain a core source of knowledge leading to growth and progress for many hope*writers.
Working alone is for hobbyists. If you’re ready to stop dabbling and become a writer who writes words people want to read, we hope you’ll join us.
We’re here to bring hope to your writing life through community, connection, and teaching. Hope*writers is dedicated to the success and creativity of each member, and we hope that includes you and your work today.
